Mission and Vision: Why Do You Matter to Us?

At Atlantic Care Services, we work on building a community, not just a company. Culture means a lot to our organization. If you look on our website or social media account you will see this “invisible glue” shine through the activities, initiatives and appreciation that is prioritized in our organization.

“The culture we wanted to start from day 1 is to create a space where the nurses feel appreciated, and that they really understood that we care about them.”

- Jason Coons, Founder and Owner

“We are caregiver-driven. When our caregivers are happier, our patients are happier.”

- Jen Ceballos, Chief Nursing Officer.

Event Recap

We participated in the National Association of Hispanic Nurses Bingo event on December 5th and had a wonderful time connecting, laughing, and enjoying the excitement of the evening. The highlight of the night was cheering on the lucky winners who walked away with a stunning designer bag!

Events like this are especially meaningful, as the funds raised directly support NAHN’s mission to uplift Hispanic communities and promote health equity across Central Florida. Thank you to NAHN for hosting such a fun and impactful evening. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

Real-Time Care Coordination through ENS System

We are proud to share that, through the Encounter Notification System (ENS), we are currently the only home health agency utilizing this advanced alert system.

ENS delivers automated hospitalization alerts for ACS patients across every major hospital system in Florida, helping our teams stay informed in real time. These alerts are active across all ACS locations, including Orlando, Jacksonville, Clermont, West Palm Beach, and more.

ENS works through a Health Information Exchange (HIE), which securely shares patient health information with doctors, nurses, hospitals, and healthcare organizations when it’s needed most for patient care. All information is protected through strict medical privacy and confidentiality standards.

By using ENS, we’re able to respond more quickly, improve care coordination, enhance patient safety, and support better outcomes, another way we’re committed to delivering the highest quality care.

P A T I E N T

H I G H L I G H T

This month, we’re honored to share a glimpse into Vicki’s journey, a story filled with strength, perseverance, and unwavering positivity.
Vicki was born in 1977 in Santa Clara, California, and raised in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, in a home filled with music. Inspired by her father, a Doctor of Music and pianist, she developed a lifelong love of jazz that led her to the University of Miami, where she earned a degree in Music Education.
During college, she began experiencing symptoms of Machado-Joseph Disease, a rare neurological condition that runs in her family. Still, she became an elementary music teacher, sharing artists like Charlie Parker and Ella Fitzgerald with her students in the U.S., Japan, and Germany.
Now living in Orlando, Vicki faces the progression of MJD with resilience and gratitude. Atlantic Care Services plays a vital role in supporting her daily care needs, and at 48, she remains a devoted Miami Hurricanes fan and lifelong lover of bebop jazz, thankful for every new day.

MEET

WYATT

A bright and lovable 4-year-old who brings joy to everyone around him, Wyatt lives in the Winter Garden area with his mom, dad, and older sister in a warm, welcoming home that also includes a few pet turtles. Wyatt loves being held and cuddled, enjoys children’s music, colorful TV shows, and being read to, and thrives on gentle interaction, consistency, and familiar faces.

The family is thoughtful and selective in finding the right fit and is looking for a female caregiver with a warm, positive personality who brings great energy and good vibes. The ideal nurse must be physically able to kneel and sit for extended periods and approach caregiving with patience and compassion. New graduates are welcome.

Wyatt’s care needs include GJ-tube management, frequent oral suctioning and monitoring multiple seizures daily. The family is looking for coverage Monday through Saturday from 7:45 AM to 7:30 PM, and Sundays from 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM, with care provided in Winter Garden.

If you’re interested in scheduling a meet and greet with Wyatt and his family, please contact our main line at 407-270-5501, and we would be happy to set one up for you!
